Privacy / readable by design
Information should not ask for more than it needs.
This notice explains the limited privacy context of an independent, static educational website about eSIM technology and travel connectivity.
Last updated: 8 October 2026
waymap.world is an informational and educational website. It is not a telecom operator, mobile carrier, eSIM provider, reseller, marketplace, activation service, or official support channel. The site does not create mobile accounts, process mobile-service transactions, or request details needed to operate a line. This notice describes how a visitor’s information may be handled when reading the site or choosing to contact the editorial address.
What the site is designed to do
The pages are static reading material. They explain eSIM technology, device-compatibility questions, travel connectivity, country context, and related concepts. The site does not include a public account area, a transactional path, a device-configuration service, or a live messaging function. The contact form on the contact page is a non-submitting drafting aid; it does not transmit its fields to waymap.world.
We aim to minimise data collection by design. Reading a page should not require a name, phone number, mobile line details, travel itinerary, or identity document. If you choose to email the visible editorial address, you decide what to include. Please avoid sending passwords, one-time codes, account credentials, full payment information, government documents, precise location history, or other sensitive data that is not needed for an editorial message.
Information processed by technical delivery
Like most websites, technical infrastructure used to deliver a page may process limited log information such as an IP address, device or browser information, the page requested, referring page information, and time of access. This information may be processed for security, reliability, error diagnosis, and basic operation. It is not used by this website to create a traveller profile or to make decisions about a mobile service.
Technical delivery can involve service providers that host or transmit the website. Their processing is subject to their own terms and technical practices. We do not state that no technical log data exists, because reliable web delivery commonly requires limited operational records. We do state the purpose clearly: running and securing a public information site, not operating telecom service or tracking readers across a mobile journey.
External resources and photographs
Pages use third-party resources such as a font service, a CSS delivery service, and directly linked travel photographs. When your browser requests one of these resources, the relevant third party may receive technical information necessary to serve it, such as your IP address and browser request details. The photographs are used as real editorial atmosphere; they do not indicate a network relationship, destination condition, or endorsement.
Third-party resources operate under their own privacy notices and may change their practices. You can reduce third-party requests by using browser controls or extensions appropriate to your circumstances, although doing so may affect page appearance. waymap.world does not control the policies or availability of external services and links.
Email and editorial messages
If you email [email protected], the message may contain your email address, name, and any material you provide. We use that information to read, respond to, and assess editorial correspondence, including corrections, feedback, content questions, and general website inquiries. Do not send account-specific technical issues expecting service handling; waymap.world cannot access accounts or resolve device and network conditions.
We retain correspondence only as reasonably necessary for responding, maintaining editorial records, preventing misuse, or improving site content. You may ask about an editorial message you have sent by writing to the same address. The practical ability to identify or delete a message may depend on the information available and applicable legal obligations. Do not send sensitive personal information through ordinary email.
Cookies and similar technologies
This static site is not designed to place cookies for accounts, shopping, personalisation, or advertising. Third-party resources or the technical delivery environment may use their own mechanisms, subject to their own policies. Browser settings can usually provide controls over cookies and site data. Because technology and infrastructure may change, this notice will be updated when material practices change.
Your choices and rights
Privacy rights vary by location. You may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, or information about personal data, subject to applicable law and legitimate limitations. To raise a privacy question concerning waymap.world, write to [email protected] with enough detail to identify the issue. We may need reasonable information to understand and respond to a request, but please do not provide unnecessary sensitive information.
Changes and contact
This notice may be revised to reflect changes in the website, its technical delivery, or relevant requirements. The current version is published on this page with an updated date. Questions about the website’s privacy practices may be sent to [email protected]. Questions about a device, line, roaming arrangement, or external service should be directed to the relevant manufacturer, provider, or network operator.
